British Game Alliance Changes Name to British Game Assurance

In order to more accurately reflect its mission, the British Game Alliance has changed its name to British Game Assurance.

The BGA is a not-for-profit organisation which exists to provide credible self-regulation through a third party auditing scheme and promote game across all sectors of the food industry as a national marketing board. Its widely-adopted Assurance scheme advertises to game consumers, Guns and the public that shoots are operating within the BGA’s standards.

Chief executive Liam Stokes commented:

“Assurance is at the heart of everything the BGA achieves, so the time is right to put Assurance at the heart of our name. Assurance is the reason supermarkets and outlets of all sizes want to sell more game, and widespread adoption of Assurance is how shooting will prove it can be trusted to self-regulate.”
