British Game Alliance Expands Relationship with BigBarn

Supporting BGA processors and stockists by promoting them through Big Barn.

Through its relationship with BigBarn, the British Game Alliance (BGA) continues to support its BGA assured stockists and processors though this difficult period by connecting them with new customers.


Over the last year, the BGA and BigBarn have built a mutually beneficial relationship to help connect consumers with local producers, such as BGA stockists and processors, offering assured seasonal produce. During this difficult period, BigBarn has seen a huge demand for its services online with this trend expected to continue. 


Each BGA member is added to BigBarn’s Local Food Map and promotes food producers offering locally sourced food and drink with a clear provenance, a message that is prevalent throughout the BGA’s mission as an organisation. This map also features on the BGA’s Eat Wild website – a campaign to promote new ways of cooking BGA assured game and where to buy it – to further promote stockists to local consumers.


Eat Wild further promotes game to the wider public with its game cooking videos and recipe booklets which are offered through the BigBarn website, to introduce game to a new audience around the UK.

“We are delighted to be working closely with the team at BigBarn with the aim to reconnect many of our members with local consumers who are passionate about the provenance of the food they buy. We offer our Eat Wild recipe booklets through the BigBarn website to show their customers the many different and innovative ways you can cook with game.”

“BigBarn has been trading for the last 20 years with a mission to reconnect consumers with their local producers and encourage trade and communication. So far 8,700 businesses, including BGA members, are listed on the shared Local Food Map as icons and webpages.

“Each business has a password to update their listing including an online shop where 25,000 registered customers can quick buy. We have 90 other websites like the BGA share the map on their websites with more joining every week all helping promote local food trade, share food knowledge and build sustainable local food communities.”
