British Game Assurance (BGA) is sponsoring the Combined Services Culinary Arts Team (CSCAT) with game when they compete at the Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg next year.
Formed in August 1997, CSCAT’s purpose is to raise the profile of catering throughout the UK Armed Forces, develop individual team craft skills and aid the recruitment of personnel into the Armed Forces.
The Culinary World Cup is a world-class prestigious culinary competition held over five days with more than 100 selected international teams competing for the coveted prizes. This is the first time CSCAT will compete using feathered game.
Sponsors and comms director for CSCAT, Wing Commander Bev Cartwright, commented:
“CSCAT is very excited that BGA has come on board as a sponsor and we are looking forward to showcasing the use of top quality British game in our menus.”
CEO Liam Stokes added:
“For some time now BGA has been working tirelessly with food supplier Aramark to supply our armed forces with sustainable British Game Assured pheasant, and it has been a roaring success. It is wonderful to see the CSCAT now taking British game out into the world and showcasing it as part of their competitive menus, a proud moment for everyone involved in producing and harvesting great British game.”
