Eat Wild launches shop and celebrates sell-out success at The Game Fair

Eat Wild has taken the campaign for game to new levels, launching a line of game products at the 2022 Game Fair. Hundreds of people from all walks of life swarmed the British Game Assurance (BGA) stand, where the Eat Wild team were cooking up free samples, handing out recipe books and getting the public excited to back British Game.


Eat Wild is the BGA’s public-facing campaign for game, where there is no talk of shooting. Instead Eat Wild talks about healthy living, environmental impact, food miles and tasty versatility, and that’s the message the Eat Wild team took to The Game Fair crowd. To date there has been no way for people enthused by Eat Wild to follow up their interest by buying game for themselves. Now the Eat Wild shop has launched so anyone excited by the campaign can get hold of game straight away.


The Eat Wild shop stocks only the basics, to get people started in their game cookery journey. Game mix, sausages, burgers and venison steaks were for sale at The Game Fair and are now available online, with pheasant breasts to follow. Even more exciting, the Eat Wild team have developed spice mixes specifically for game. Often people who have never cooked with game can fret about how best to work with it, and these spice mixes take away all the guess work. The Eat Wild spice mixes blew the doors off the stand at the Game Fair, with every packet selling out. They will be up on the website as soon as they are restocked.


BGA Director of Operations Louisa Clutterbuck said:

“Eat Wild is all about introducing new people to game meat. You might not think that’s the demographic at The Game Fair, but from hundreds of conversations we know huge numbers of people turned up to try game for the first time. Now with the launch of the Eat Wild shop, and especially the Eat Wild spice mixes, the first time will most certainly not be the last time.”

BGA CEO Liam Stokes said:

“I have worked on stands at game fairs for years, and I have never known a buzz like we saw around the BGA stand at The Game Fair 2022. There is an energy around game right now, driven by Eat Wild and backed by proper BGA assurance, and the whole game sector can be very excited.”
