The Shed Celebrates The Glorious 12th

BGA registered restaurant celebrates the start of the grouse season with a 6 course feast with BGA assured grouse at the center.

The Gladwin Brothers are back in the game as they celebrate the start of the grouse season from their acclaimed Notting Hill restaurant, The Shed. On Wednesday 12th August, the three brother team will serve up a delectable feast as they take their guests on a journey through wonderful seasonal produce and raise a glass to the start of the British game season.

The Glorious Twelfth menu is dedicated to seasonal British food which follows the Gladwin Brother’s philosophy of ‘what grows together, goes together.’ Oliver Gladwin will bring the first 100 grouse of the season from the Yorkshire Dales on the 12th August, straight into The Shed’s kitchen, just in time to serve guests for the evening. Each farm-to-fork dish has been named after the area from which the produce was sourced.

First up guests can tuck into Queenie scallops and oysters Rockefeller from Cornwall followed by the Sussex courgette & Nutbourne tomato tartlet. Starters will include London’s delicious squirrel tortellini served with vegetable consomme, alongside Head Chef, Lewis’ foraged and home-made elderflower vinegar. Oliver’s fresh whole roast, BGA assured, grouse version will be served as a main course with heritage vegetable crisps, beef dripping sourdough toast, cherry and red wine jus and watercress salsa. A Somerset special of goat’s cheese curls with honeyed almonds and tomato chutney will be on the set menu, followed by the Nutbourne rose jelly with lemon panna cotta and summer berries to round off the evening perfectly.

We feel very lucky to have The Shed back open again. And how fitting to celebrate a new season with a feast such as the Glorious twelfth. We are all very excited,

says Richard Gladwin.

Guests who dine on the 12th August will sample the first grouse of the season whilst sipping on a glass of Nutty Brut sparkling wine straight from the brothers’ family owned vineyard in the heart of West Sussex.

Louisa North, Head of Operations for the British Game Alliance said
